DAYLIGHT DIES Announce New Album Title
September 6, 2005North Carolina-based doom/death metallers DAYLIGHT DIES have set "Dismantling Devotion" as the title of their sophomore CD. The album is being recorded at Volume 11 studios and will be mixed during the last week of September by Jens Borden of Fascination Street Studios (OPETH, KATATONIA, SOILWORK, BLOODBATH) in Örebro, Sweden. Mastering will most likely be carried out at The Cutting Room in Stockholm.
"Dismantling Devotion" will run just under an hour in length and the CD's packaging will feature photography by Jeff Brubaker, with Agni Kaster (KATATONIA's "Brave Yester Days" and BLOODBATH's "Nightmares Made Flesh") continuing work on the post-photo process.

DAYLIGHT DIES recently announced the addition of guitarist Charlie Shackelford to the group's ranks. "Charlie has been playing session guitar with us for quite some time and we are proud he will now join us on a permanent basis," the band write on their web site. "All those who have seen us in recent gigs know he is more than capable and will make the DAYLIGHT DIES unit as strong as it has ever been."
